Concept Samsung Jot Rotary Dial Phone

This innovative and retro styled concept mobile phone design by Raymond Bessemer for Samsung. Is a mobile phone that uses a capacitive OLED display, removable stylus and physical rotary dial.

                                                                                                    
The design has a retro feel by the use of the rotary dial number pad which was used on phone in the and around the 1970's.

The concept is designed for the year 2015 and uses writing via a stylus rather than a keyboard for texting and note taking.But the hole in the middle of the dial would be very tempting to me to spin the phone on my finger, which could cause a few replacements having to be sent out by mobile provider.

The World's First GPS Goggles w/Head Mounted Display

Sports lens developer Zeal Optics and display innovator Recon Instruments has managed to successfully squeeze both GPS technology and head-mounted display into a set of ski goggles named Transcend

                                                  
 A tiny computer gathers information from a number of onboard sensors and provides location, speed, altitude and temperature information to the wearer via a micro-LCD display inside the goggles.The image from the display is then virtually projected so that it appears out in front of the user.

GPS Goggles Specification:

A head-mounted LCD screen displayed shows the inside of the glass real-time speed, altitude, vertical odometer, distance, position and temperature, and monitoring of the time with a stopwatch and timer mode.

                                                               

GPS Googles  is also a USB port to allow users to travel to a computer or laptop and charges the lithium-ion battery that is said to seven hours between charges be downloaded.The optical system has been made to appear as though it hangs six feet in front of the user.The designers say the optics are non-obstructive for front and peripherial vision.
The glasses weigh 257 grams (9 ounces) and comes with a hard case, glasses bag cleaning adapter and charger with European countries and North America.

There will be two Recon/Zeal Optics Transcend lens options available at limited release launch on October 10. The option with an SPPX polarized and photochromic lens – which auto adjusts to changing light conditions with  retail price of US$499. Said to reduce glare by 99 per cent, coming with built-in anti-fog technology and benefiting from a wide vision frame, the goggles featuring an SPX polarized lens are priced at US$399.
